Knoles Park Golf Course ???
« on: April 01, 2008, 10:13:06 AM »
I have tried to search the web for Knoles Park GC without success.  Someone posted pictures on this site in the past which I downloaded and love the look of the course.

Could someone please tell me where the golf course is located?

Troy,
Could be that you have the name misspelled - if you're looking for Knole Park GC. The link to that club's website is

http://www.knoleparkgolfclub.co.uk/

The course is located near Sevenoaks in Kent.

Craig,

Have you played Knole Park?? It's only about 5 miles from my home and whilst a touch short is a great day out and a good challenge to boot. If you haven't it's well worth seeking out on our next visit.

Mark,
I have on 3 occasions. I think the pictures that Troy mentioned were ones that I posted from a visit last summer. Let's do get together there if we can arrange schedules.

There's been two previous threads, both linked above.

PS do Richard and I get to join you two? ;)

PPS  IN late summer the bracken (ferns) must be fearsome  - it's thick, tall and gnarly.  Never seen it in such abundance on any other course.

If I recall correctly, Knowle Park is certainly a course I would like to have a go on.  If you lot are organizing something give us a shout and we'll see what comes of it.

Tony and Richard most welcome.

Sean - write Knole 100 times and your welcome as well.

#18 with the pond in front of the green and clubhouse with a couple of deer quietly
chewing the grass ahead must be one of the nicer sights in golf.

Have any of you guys played The Wildernese which is virtually next door to KP? Very much
a parkland course Wildernese is always in tip top condition and Mrs Brenning is one of golfs top cooks! Sevenoaks is blessed with 2 great courses and both sit very much under the radar in the dash from the Surrey and Berkshire heaths to the Kent and Sussex links.

Mark when I quickly scanned this last night it reminded me of Wildernesse and that I meant to ask you about it ages ago. I've heard its a very well conditioned course, and I know its an old club, but does anyone know who designed the course?

Cheers

Thank you Craig, that's the one.  You would think that Google would still pop up the web site with the "s" I added.  I like the slide show and music on the website.
