Good Luck Ran Morrissett!
« on: November 16, 2007, 08:37:28 PM »
Still seething from his many defeat(s) and failings on the golf course all by the hands of many of us here from this website......I bring the news to all of you that Mr. Ran Morrissett--of Pinehurst, Australia--(I'm repeating a previous Eddie Merrins faux pax) will be participating in his first half-marathon being staged in Pinehurst, North Carolina tomorrow morning.

If any of you are in the Pinehurst area, I must INSIST you get down there with a camera to capture his greatness breaking the ribbon of victory.......(at the finish line)

Good Luck Ran! (I can here the braggadocio starting already)

I fully expect Mr. Morrissett to crush anybody over 70 years old who stands in his way.

OK...good luck.  I'm jealous, as I can't run anymore, and couldn't run that far, even when I was half your age.

Good luck Ran! I admire you. I could never do that!

If he thinks I'm going to start training for a 5K let alone a half marathon, let him win!

 8) Ran's mom told us after lunch at Lake Louise that Ran was a curiously active little boy, athletically inclined, but thoughful in his chosen endeavors..

Someone needs to let us know the results after Ran runned....

"Ran was a curiously active little boy, athletically inclined, but thoughful in his chosen endeavors..."

I'm glad Ran has made such a success of himself. After that description I'm guessing it was touch and go for a while...

 :)

But seriously, all the best, Ran, and good for you. I think we might be about the same age, but while you've started running marathons, I've started taking cabs just to get to my car

Is the goal to run half fast in a half marathon?

After Cabot Links, can the Kenya Kolf and Running Klub be far behind?
