Hopefully this works.  Thought the aerial might be fun to look at.

Brendan, that didn't work for me.  Perhaps this is a suitable substitute?

The hole whose green sits to the right of the "A" (#11) looks from overhead a lot like a Biarritz.  Is there a swale short of the green or running through it?  I also see what looks like a Redan from overhead, and also a Short.  A C&C take on the MacRaynor templates?  I like!

To say a bunker serves no purpose is essentially the same as saying a bunker "is not fair."

Every bunker serves a purpose.  Avoid 'em!

In many cases mostly they serve the purpose of adding cost!

It is unfair to expect people to pay for their maintenance when they add nothing of significance to the golf experience.

Bunkers serve many purposes.  Aesthetic as well :-\

Bunkers fit the aesthetic of links land. I'm not so sure they add to the aesthetic of this course.

Tim,

#4 might fit the bill as the short, and #11 does indeed have a bit of a swale running through the middle of the green (but it is very shallow compared to a real Biarritz). Neither of the other two par three greens would qualify for the Redan however as #14 has a back-to-front tilt with a false front.

I think that C&C actually were drawing on different sources for their par 3s.  The 4th reminds me of a couple of Ross short holes I have seen either in person or photos of.  The 9th reminds me visually of the 10th at Winged Foot.  The 11th does have a Biarritz style to it, but it is a loose interpretation.  The 14th is the one I can't quite tell you where it comes from.  It reminds me of a few par threes that Maxwell did, but it also reminds me of several holes I've seen on many different courses.

not sure I'm such a big fan of the 'Sphincter of Shagginess' bunker-styling, but much to commend about the rest of the Course.
