Anyone visited this course in the majestic Yorkshire Peak District?  (Mark Rowlinson?).

Some attractive old photos:

Cool name for a course.

Wow, great looking bunkering.

Paul, It's many years since last I played there.  I had a musical chum who lived in Sheffield and we occasionally met there as a sort of half-way house.  I don't remember the bunkering having so much character - I suspect that the easier line might have been taken on the maintenance front.  There seems to be golfing money on the west side of Sheffield and it may well be that, more recently, some attempt has been made to breed back to the earlier bunkering style - but I'm only guessing.  It's a lovely place with great views in kind weather, although I don't remember the greens holding a candle to Cavendish.  There is quite a climb from the clubhouse, so stick to water or tea on the night before you play!
