Who wrote this?

I have been accused of making all my courses look alike.  I guess that's a compliment of sorts.....

That is hilarious to me!

Sounds like something Art Hills might say if he was here, but most of you certainly would not have intended a 'compliment' ........

George Crump?

Almost fell off my chair...well done.

One question though, who got the quote?

The word "guess" suggests a relatively modern writer. I will be very surprised if the quotation is more than 50 years old.

I do remember reading that Robert Trent Jones (the father), once stated that when he was hired to design a course for a private club that they wanted a "Robert Trent Jones" course.  They were not concerned that it may look like other RTJ courses, for they would be playing only this RTJ course, not all of the other courses.  In that aspect, he could have considered it a compliment that so many hired him to design for them a RTJ course.

So, I am not sure if this actual quote is attributable to RTJ, but the concept applies to RTJ.
