I was at Crowbush a few weeks ago. Holes 6, 7, 8 are all really fun - a bit of an Amen Corner thing going on there.
Yes, 11 is a bad hole. The view from the tee's amazing but the drive is pointless - it doesn't matter where you hit it or even how far, because the forced layup makes it all moot. And the mistake is compounded by the tiny green fronted by a bunker - very hard to hit with a long club.
Actually, three of the four 5s employ the do-or-die carry short of the green, although the others are better placed. The third hole, for instance, has a nice winding Thompson-esque feel with a couple of thought-provoking bunkers 70-90 yards short of the green.
Dundarave is probably a better layout on a nice property, but Crowbush is a pretty magical place. It's also much more walkable.
