Wrong on that one! The Kentucky 'Signature Series' IS better that the RTJ! I say that admittedly without real qualification, except that every single person I know who has played both has said that very thing!
I admit in the Winter we generally have to play the southern end, and some courses in Tennessee. But we do often find days in Winter to play there. It is likely more pragmatic for him to try Texas, the SW, California, or [if he must] even RTJ. But KY/TN have much to surprise pleasantly. Just a thought.
