In reply #9, I said I understood the greens to be bent (as per telecasts I have seen) and questioned how the greens will be next year when the event goes to a May date. This morning, I was up really early (thunder and lightning in the early morning, and our dog Shadow was not happy
, so I watched some golf with him
). Saw the start, and they said
"the greens are tifdwarf, oversown with trivialis and bent".
It will still be interesting next year to see how the greens play in May, presumably with pure Tifdwarf. I hope they are able to play similar to this year (perhaps a tad less quick).
