Oh, duh.  You've probably stumped the band until late this evening and then I imagine someone else will get it.

It took me a couple of minutes because I didn't locate the clubhouse correctly, I thought it was on the other end.

It's a nice picture.  I didn't realize the course had that many bunkers, they might have added a bunch since I last saw it.  If the picture had been a bit bigger to the right it would be easier to identify!

I live about half an hour from it.

Recently reworked by Ross Watson.

It has been a long standing Royal.

It was the 10th best course in its country for many years. ;D

The 9 hole course at the top of the picture that plays around the cricket oval is Woolahra.

I hope George doesn't see this one - he might need therapy ::).

This course's 'improvements' were recently featured in Golf Architecture volume 8.  An Amateur playing 'badly' was able to roll the full monty at this site a few years ago.

Edit - this is the course that some of the members (apparently) refer to as 'Viagara'.  It isn't any longer, but it is a lot harder than it used to be. :P

I didn't "get" Royal Sydney at all.  To be fair, I only played it after the latest renovations, so I'm in no position to comment about what it was like beforehand.  There are some fine holes, but I can't see how it demands a place in Australia's top 25.

It has the best clubhouse I've ever seen, the "Royal" name, a fabulous location and a wonderful tournament history.  I can't help but think that the course (in its present guise) wouldn't be noticed were it not for these four factors.
