What are some of the greatest influences of family helping out on a golf course for the architect??

I know Pete Dye was not going to make 17 at TPC an island until his wife said so.

Are there any other cases of great holes being produces thanks to family??

Jordan,

Here's an interesting tidbit... Ron Prichard's twin brother is a golf course contractor. Don't know any specifics about individual hole designs, but the Prichard brothers have worked on a number of projects together!

Jeff, at Sandestin Resort in Fla., Rees Jones and Robert Trent Jones II holes run parallel to each other in oppositie directions. Burnt PInes' 18th (Rees) is next to The Raven's 11th (Bobby). It's the only place on earth where their holes adjoin. How indicative is that!

I believe Pete Dye's wife is responsible for the bunkering and greens complex on hole 13 at Harbour Town Golf Links.
