Is anyone familiar with this course, which I believe is by tom Simpson. Opinions about routing, green complexes, memorable holes/terrain would be appreciated.  thanks

The  World Atlas of Golf, updated by Mark Rowlinson (reprinted in 2004), has nice description of the course.   Article describes the course and answers some of your questions.

The  Atlas is often found in used book stores in my area. ;)
