calling all GCA archies...a rumor on a job?

To the architects that look in here, I have been told about a planned municipal golf project in the south suburbs of Milwaukee that reportedly is only in the conceptual stage, and no archie has been picked.  The land is supposedly on terraces overlooking lake Michigan.  I don't know how much credence to put in the info I was given yesterday about this project.  Perhaps many of you already know about it, and perhaps you have put your name in the can already.  But, I think the best way for me to spread this gossip or rumor as to where the alleged project is, you can IM or e-mail me and I'll pass along what I was told and which town it is in.

Dick- Would that be the rumored PGA tour venue? And wasn't TD's name bantied about?

No, that is not the same piece of ground or project.  Contrary to rumor, we haven't met the developer of the Milwaukee project yet and I'm not certain if we will, though I have visited the Tour's offices and expressed interest in doing a project with them sometime, somewhere (and maybe sooner rather than later).

However, we are interested in building any golf course in the Great Lakes region, so if you have more information about the project, Dick, I'd be interested in learning about it by e-mail.

Tom, Can you describe any potential differences you might design into a tour venue?

That would really be getting ahead of myself without having a piece of land to talk about.

I do have a few "general" ideas about what I'd like to see on a PGA Tour course, but I'm saving those for when I get the chance.
