Another George has arrived
« on: March 04, 2004, 06:59:30 PM »
George and Bonnie Pazin had a baby boy last night.  His name is George Jason Pazin, 5# 6oz and very healthy.

Papa needs to get his knee back in shape before the little one starts moving around so he can chase after him.

For those who don't know, George had arthroscopic surgery about 2 weeks ago to repair a torn ACL.  He will be off the course for a while, but at least he will have something to keep him busy now.

George, I was wondering if you were going to be printing up GCA diapers for the little one.  If you do, put a couple of Fazio and Jones courses on the back side. ;)

Wait a second, let me get this straight.

George went to New York to talk about golf with his wife a week from giving birth?

I have a new member for the manly pantheon of stud-heroes.  Move over Mike Cirba, there's a new man at the top and his name is PAZIN.

Mucho congrats to you and yours, George.

George,
Congratulations to you and your wife. I don't think this is going to help your sleep deficit buddy. ;) You are about to embark on the most joyous time of your life, enjoy every minute!!!

Tom, it should be noted that the baby did arrive a month early so he isn't quite as heroic as you are making him out to be.  But still, riding for 6 hours each way with your leg all wrapped up after surgery earns him a few more points.

Congratulations, George!

All the very best to yourself, young George, and I assume that there was a wife or partner involved?  If GJ seems interested, we have a very attractive Junior Membership package for the EA.

PS--what is it with all these GCA sprogs dropping nearly simultaneously.  Was there some sort of official event I wasn't invited to 8-9 months ago?

Hope everyone continues to do well.  Take care of that knee.

AHA!  Yes, the light weight of the lad had me thinking this might be the case, and feeling a bit sheepish and guilty for my well-intentioned, but insensitive comment!  Given the preemie delivery, George loses in he-man-wife-abandoning-for--the-sake-of golf points, but gains in good wishes here, because man that must be scary and it's great to hear all are well.

He gains back the stud points for the car ride with the bum knee, anyway.

 ;D

And Rich, funny that thought had occurred to me also... just what was going on last June?

The GCA birthfest continues!  And another 'old school' name.  I don't think I've heard of any other children in recent years named Henry or George.  They're all Jaden and Ryan and Brennan and Jacob and Caleb and Joshua and Zachary and Tyler and Dylan and....

George,

I hope when the baby's name was filled out on the official form, you didn't write "Georrge".   ;D

I couldn't resist.

Congrats.

Thanks for all the well wishes and nice thoughts. We just got home from the hospital this afternoon. Jason (that's what we're calling him, the "George" is really a tip of the cap to my dad and grandfather, but we want him to have his own identity).

He did arrive unexpectedly one month and one day early, so he is a little tyke. Sorry to dash your high opinion of me, Huck! :) Damn good thing he held out another 4 days, or I would've been racing back. It was extra important that I was there, as Jason was largely delivered by one nurse with minor assistance from little old me.

Thanks again, everyone. Expect my posts to shift from work hours to middle of night hours. :)

Scott -

You managed to list almost all the names I had to veto that my wife wanted. I'm partial to boring names, so Jason was our compromise.

Wow, George Pazin, printer of tees-deliverer of babies!  Congrats to you and your wife.  Perhaps you should get an HMO that provides a OB next time... ;) ;D 8)

George:

Great news!  How wonderful for you and Bonnie!   :)

As the mother of 6 -- 9 months thru 9 years, I can tell you that parenthood is an adventure!

Good wishes to you and Bonnie and to Master George Jason Pazin many good wishes for a wonderful life!

PS:  A bit of unsolicited advice:  Before # 1 was born, a very wise physician told me to ROUTINELY arrange for private couple time (easy to forget in the some of the chaos of parenthood).  At first, I thought it was silly, but my husband and I soon discovered its value and its importance.  With us, it's a priority.

Happiness to all of you!   :)

George,

Congrats, it is awesome isnt it.

As a wiley veteran of a whole 2 weeks of this fatherhood thing myself let me give you some sage advice.  Take your vitimins.  Due to the sleep deprivation I have spent about 5 of my 14 days of fatherhood sick and unable to hold my own child.  That stinks!

Congrats again, and good luck.
