Mike,

I've heard that this is an out of this world site. I suspect Tom Doak will get the job.

Only problem I've heard about this site is there are these little creatures running around that like to steal golf balls.

The site has NO value unless it's completely unpredictable, totally random and maximizes luck in all situations. If it can't meet that criteria then skip it and go elsewhere. ;D

With a clubhead speed of 12,000 miles per hour, I'd say Steve Squiyers(sp?) and his team made an ace on Guzsef Crater. Talk about the long ball ! Playing the game on the ground, too. The ball rolled close to a kilometer.

Shiv- Is that a natural double punchbowl in the lower right quadrent?

Sure enough looks like the Missouri Breaks land to me...

They are working on a new strain of crater bed paspalum as we speak that can thrive on severe ultraviolet, low water, and wide range temps.  The new grass will use the ambient gasses in its photosynthesis and give off oxygen.  After a year's growth of the new space strain turf covering the entire planet has balanced out and produced a breathable atmosphere, we will be sending a team of GCA.com members - clad in spacesuit pajamas - led by Forrest Richardson to route out some new courses...

On second examination: I think I see a couple of balls in there. And if I'm not mistaken, they're Top-Flites.

Maybe they were even farther off line than we thought!

Actually its a gulf plain at Chocolate Bayou, SE of Johnson Space Center, orange sky is local air quality..

P.S. I printed tee shirts for the Mars explorer thing last time, for the scientists at Jet Propulsion Labs in Pasadena, back in summer of 97. One of the more fun shirts I've done, with Yogi & Scooby on it. Definitely collectors item. :)
