I take offense when someone throws shade at MJ as not being the greatest ever, much less say he was overrated??? He played huge minutes, put a terrible team on his back and once he got some help (Pippen, Grant, etc.) they dominated. Greatest closer in basketball for his era. He ended up getting paid his last couple years at 30+ million which was a bargain for Reinsdorf at that.
Liked Pippen a lot for his defense, ball handling and versatility however he really couldn't create his own shot and not nearly a pure scorer. Jordan was beat up big time during his career before he went to the fadeaway shot, which added years to his career IMO. If you remember Jordan took huge criticism by the media before they finally won as he was just a scorer and couldn't win a championship. This was the narrative for years until 90 when they beat the Lakers for #1. Definitely not overrated.
