From the Northeast perspective, where we don't have mega golf resorts, and most clubs don't have room for this, I'd like to see a couple new stand alone Par-3 and Putting Course facilities pop up. I think there is room for it near some of these big metro/uban/suburban areas with lots of traffic... I was working on a design for an 18-holer in NH over the winter. Now I'm working on a 9-hole design in Mass, fingers crossed!

It would have to be over on Bill's end of the property, if there was.  Too many house lots near the clubhouse for my layout.

We did play around with laying out a par-3 course just south of the 4th green at Tara Iti, at some point during construction, but the best of that ground wound up being sacrificed to "environmental buffer zone".

Jeff,

Happy to see I am not the only person who appreciates the 12-hole course at Monarch Dunes. I'm absolutely in love with the main 18 holer . . . . huge points for originality and interest.

Even Neal - who worked for Damian - had to admit the putting surfaces (especially) on the 12-holer were some of the cleverest either of us had ever seen.

As for our beloved Cliffs Course at Olympic, we'll have to see. I've often dreamed of an authentic "Children's Course" on the lower Ocean Course parcel (#8-9) - with miniature versions of a Redan, Knoll, even a miniature Channel Hole. Maybe that fun little jaunt across from Mallards Hotel in Gullane wold be a great spot to give it a go.
