Anyone have any reliable information regarding Marian Cruger Coffin, 1876-1957, pioneering female landscape artist, and her relationship with golf? Obviously Sebonack GC, where she did the gardens for the Bayberry Estate, the old sunken rose garden of which now constitutes the 18th hole's Coffin Bunker. I have reason to believe she may have had much earlier involvement with a golf course or three, including an early turn of the century visit to Scotland.
