A little TLC would help. The conditioning at Langston is always bad. I have not been there in over two years, but after speaking with folks that have, little has been done to renovate the course. It never gets the same attention or resources as Hains Point (East Potomac Park)--which might be a good thing given that a contracted maintenance company recently sprayed Round Up instead of fertilizer on all the greens at East Potomac .
The design at Langston is nothing special, but it's not horrible. Folks in town are really hoping that Tiger chooses Langston as the site for his East Coast learning center. It would make a great deal of sense given Langston's history and Tiger's involvement in the AT&T National.
As for hosting Tiger's tournament, I don't see that hapenning. It would take a total redesign and a ton of money. It plays to about 6,600 yards now from the back tees. I'm not sure if there is enough land there to stretch it out to a Tour length course.
