The 17th on the adjoining Silverburn course at Royal Aberdeen GC/Aberdeen Ladies GC is pretty damn good as well. Tiny green. Evil drop-offs/run-offs.

You're not wrong there Thomas - it's a tricky little one and nowhere to miss it either. Certainly a lot more difficult in the summer when the green is dry and firm than it is right now though!
As I recall the first 7 holes and the last 2 holes on the Silverburn are generally pretty cool, some nice features, and despite the on-the-card short length not at all easy especially when the ground is burnt out and bouncy and/or the wind's up. The holes out the back (ie 8-16), less so.
If a leading clubs has a second course it's usually worth playing...St Olaf at CB, Annesley at RCD, etc.
