As I recall, he lipped out on the higher edge of the hole. That's not a weak effort in the slightest.

Look at it again. Pretty yippy stroke, tho that's always been an issue for PM. Guys like Phil and/or Crenshaw were historically great on the twelve to twenty footers with their long, flowing strokes. Those five footers, where the stroke can't be that long, or where the transition comes sooner, very often don't look great.

My buddy and I went back and figured he could have conservatively had two more green jackets, and two US Opens if not for that exact thing.  He's missed an inordinate number of short putts for a player of his caliber...
