I've never had, or heard that conversation. They've done a good job adding tees near the beginning of fairways for the older guys that might be most interested in that type of restoration. It's a funny question...a good one because it's still more wild and woolly than most any other course but it must be a far cry from the early days.

I can't imagine there's any intent behind the result but between those two holes, 1 and 6, the easier hole to take on the corner in an ultra aggressive play carries well less reward in my opinion. In other words, the 60 yard shot into 6 isn't all that much easier than the 120 yard shot. #1 however would be worth some risk to get up to the flat but I just can't see myself making it more than 1 in 50 times...
