I just thought that I would bring this up next to your Friar's Head post.

You're subdued on the merits of Shinnecock and NGLA but effusive regarding Friar's Head.

That seems strange, unless you're trying to impress the GCA,com cognoscente ?  ;D

I can't answer the 1000 rounds question - I haven't played (or seen) NGLA yet - but I would say that comparing Muirfield to Shinnecock really, really flatters Muirfield, in my opinion. Muirfield is fine and all, but Shinny is THAT good...
