Shark's Tooth GC or Camp Creek GC

We  are heading to Rosemary Beach for a family vacation the end of April and I will have just one morning to play golf.  It is our first time to the area and both courses seem close to where we are staying.  I assume some on here have played both.  Which do you prefer? Any advice is appreciated!

I have had better reports on Camp Creek but havent played either myself.  Somewhere near there there is a short course which I think was designed by Davis Love's team.  I'd like to see that one of these days.

Thanks Bill.  The Origins GC is the Davis Love designed short course near Rosemary.  I may hit that with my two young boys one morning.  It can be played as six regulation holes or a 10 hole par 3. 

I was leaning towards Camp Creek.

Love the whole 30A area. You will really enjoy.
I have  played both several times and prefer Camp Creek to Sharks Tooth. Not generally a Fazio fan, but think CC is better of the 2.
Access has tightened up to both courses over last year. I think you must stay at a St Joe owned property to get on now.  You may want to check on that.

I have vacationed at Rosmary Beach with family the last two years.   Really enjoyed the area.
Played both courses, and I would agree that Camp Creek is probably superior to Shark's Tooth both in quality of holes and conditioning, at least on our visit last August.

I forgot to say also that we had no problem paying green fees and playing the course.  I think it is like semi-private these days, but not real sure.  Enjoy

Camp Creek - and it's not close. Some of the property that Sharks Tooth sits on is superior land (some isn't). It should be much better than it is.

I recall researching this question a few years ago before renting a house at Grayton Beach for Thanksgiving week.  Camp Creek was my choice after way over-thinking it.   A couple rounds with my 20-something boys confirmed an excellent choice.

I have played Camp Creek several times and Sharks Tooth 2x. Camp Creek is the superior course IMO. Interesting terrain, greens are interesting and can be very tough as well.

When I was down in Destin, FL last July, I called Camp Creek and they told me you had to be staying at one of their resorts or a memeber to play the course.

I chose Windswept dunes and the Eagle Course at Eglin AFB (an altered William Langford) and enjoyed both.

I've walked/carried both and might lean to Sharks Tooth.  The first 5 holes there are very good.  The sixth is awful.  Norman's team did some very good shaping in places, notably at the slightly pushed up 1st and 7th greens - really classic stuff.  The course is something of a mixed bag but I'd say it has more good architectural elements than Camp Creek.   Camp Creek is strong on aethetics but really short on strategy - the site's elevation changes and proximity to the ocean could have accomodated a top 100 modern in my opinion.  Instead it has the feeling of having been mailed in.
