Haven't one of our Aussie friends explained that the fall in bunkers cut right to the edge at HOC of the greens is a tournament effect that is only groomed that way for weeks leading up to the event? I thought that normal times a one width collar cut is present, but in prep of the event, the greens mower is lowered to HOC of the greens, and the knives come out to exacto cut the bunker edges to the sharp edge we love to see that is the Aussie way. Of course I may be wrong, and/or that is perhaps only a practice of one or two of the OZ courses we see during their TV tournament season.
I was glad to see Bo Weekly make the journey. Apparently according to one of the TV filler commentary, it was explained that Bo and Stephen Boditch have a good friendship and he followed his pal down under to experience the amazing sand belt. My golf mate "Steve the Marine" tells a great story about Bo from several years ago now, where Bo hosted a military outting at the Falcon and Eagle in Pensicola and he did something very cool for Steve, who apparently impressed Bo by carrying his bag for the event, at then about 78 or 79 years old.
