Riverside Golf and Country Club, the only private course in New Brunswick, opened in 1897. It was redesigned and lengthened by Donald Ross in 1931. It is the only course east of Montreal that has hosted the Canadian Open. That was in 1939 and was won by Jugs McSpaden. It has hosted the Canadian Men's and Women's Amateur Championships several times. Presently under the guidance of architect Ron Prichard the course is being restored to the playing character that Donald Ross intended. I will attempt to update the progress as it occurs.
