Bogey:
Yes, it's a gem. I've played it a few times and have always enjoyed it. The first nine is more interesting as it's routed through the dunes. Some tricky greens perched up high in the hills. It's a short course, but definitely worth playing. It opens with a drivable par four, and the next few holes wriggle their way through the hills. There's a great par three at the end of the front nine - could be the 8th or 9th - where the green is set amongst some very large sand hills.
As Ally wrote, the 18th is a bit unusual. It's a par five with a green surrounded by high mounds; it's totally bllind. Overshoot the green by a few yards and you'll be playing a recovery from the club house kitchen
There are some ordinary holes on the back nine that play over flatter ground, but all in all, it's worth combining with a trip to Baltray or Seapoint. With regard to rankings, I think it came in around 90th on Golf Digest's Ireland list. I'd put it much higher than that, but that's because I'm biased towards links courses.
