John,

Put me square in the camp of "new to me".  Even though I was about 80 years late on CPC, it wasn't any less thrilling to me.

Ditto for any other top notch course I've played...didn't care one bit how old or new it was...I just plain love awesome courses.

Really, there were plenty of options between Rock Creek and the moon.

John,

I played Rock Creek because it was on the schedule for a trip of which I was invited to join.  That schedule also included Gozzer Ranch, Black Rock, and The Idaho Club, which are also fantastic courses and I added Wine Valley on the front end to boot!

That being said, Rock Creek is the real deal and the highlight of the trip, and I would absolutely love to go back for a return play.

I do miss the lack of new courses.  I looked forward to new courses opening and made trips to play them.   I have friends, oddly enough, all over the country and would couple playing new courses with one or more of them.  So yes, my life has changed somewhat.

I used to be excited to look at the list of "In Development" courses on, for example, the Nicklaus Design website. Now, five years later, many of those courses are still there and I just get depressed.

You'll notice we play at newer courses or newly restored courses a lot. I'd love to play some more worn-in courses, but my wife just doesn't like golf, not to mention I married interracial and there are still a lot of clubs that are three weeks past their release date, metaphorically speaking, that sort of frown on mixed couples getting a little too fresh on mixed league night. I'm excited to see Taken 2 with her in December though.

Even in Kentucky this greatly surprises me.  Personally I think marrying a white girl is so Honey Boo Boo.  note:  June and Sugarbear aren't even married.

Your family are welcome at Victoria anytime, just let me know when.

John-I am sensing an infatuation with Honey Boo Boo as there have been numerous references to her of late. There is no question that she will easily crack People Magazine`s Ten Most Fascinating list for 2012 but that doesn`t mean you shouldn`t reserve a slot in a Boo Boo support group while there is still room. I will be the first to say that her hair and makeup are fabulous which goes to show you that growing up in a double wide is no impediment to glamor.

Chickadee has the baby on Wed's episode. Poor thing has two thumbs on one hand. I can see Kentucky from my front door so this show is my life.

David,

Do you at all miss the buzz around Rustic Canyon that we once had when it first opened?
No, but I miss those course conditions.
