Kiawah Island's Tree
« on: August 28, 2012, 10:06:56 PM »
Calling Mike Vegis:

How do you do it . Not the typical bag of supt's tricks.

I recall that dead tree being there 15 years ago and then see his Roryness pluck a ball from ala Scout (Kill a Mockingbird) and take an unplayable.

Discounting salt breezes How does one keep a dead thing in place so long and is a hole that has as its iconic signature a petrified virtual attached or growing thing a good design? Varnish, creosote, hologrammatic image?
"Golf is happiness. It's intoxication w/o the hangover; stimulation w/o the pills. It's price is high yet its rewards are richer. Some say its a boys pastime but it builds men. It cleanses the mind/rejuvenates the body. It is these things and many more for those of us who truly love it." M.Norman

Great question. I love that tree there both for the visual but also the 3D hazard it presents.
