BUDA X - Dinner 5 September 2012
« on: August 21, 2012, 09:23:10 AM »
As in previous years we will be having a group dinner at this year's BUDA.  The club caterers have offerred a choice of three items for starter, main course and dessert.  Can each of this year's BUDA attendees let me have their preferences, please?  I need these by close of play on Tuesday 28 August, since I will then be away until the start of BUDA.  The options are:

Starters

Soup of the Day
Chicken Liver Pate Red Onion Marmalade
Silloth On Solway Potted Shrimps

Main Course

Rack of Lamb Red Wine Jus
Coq Au Vin
Fillets of Sea Bass with Mediterranean Vegetables and Herb Pesto

Desserts

Bread & Butter Pudding
Fruit Crumble
Strawberries & Cream

If we have anyone with special dietary requirements, or simply any vegetarians, please let me know ASAP.

Many Thanks.
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

Mark,

Put me down for the following;

Pate, Lamb and B&B (assuming there's custard ?). Looking forward to it, and the golf.

Cheers

+2 Thanks.
It must be kept in mind that the elusive charm of the game suffers as soon as any successful method of standardization is allowed to creep in.  A golf course should never pretend to be, nor is intended to be, an infallible tribunal.

Mark,

Can we pay for dinner with credit card, or must it be cash or some other arrangemnt????  Trying to figure how much cash to bring.

Bryan,

I'm expecting to pay for everyone's dinner and collect.  If you want I can calculate a total you owe, including dinner, and settle up by transfer, or Just pay cash on arrival.

You boys have a great time. (I'll try and wound Whitaker if i can...think we might need all the help we can get). Some of those slopes at Balbirnie can be QUITE dangerous... ::)

Mark,

OK, can you let me know the total owing (golf and dinner and ?) before I come so I can bring enough cash.  I'd rather pay the golf to the club by credit card if that's possible and doesn't confuse your good work too much.  If it's easier for you to do it all and get cash from us, that's OK, I just need to know in advance.  I don't usually travel with that much cash.
