Courses around Birmingham

What courses around Birmingham would you recommend to the Australian Cricket team since they are likely to have a couple of spare days on Sunday and Monday ?

Beau Desert!   There's even a neat dormy house where a few can stay.

I've never been but does Beau Desert maybe have a practice area where they can practice their batting after the round ?

Erm, they are in Nottingham, not Birmingham. So should clearly go play Notts.

I knew there was something missing this summer. Well done Niall, don't know what's delayed the usual suspects.
Let's make GCA grate again!

Surely a nine-hole course would be long enough - pitch and putt, possibly!

A nine holer's a good idea, over quickly and they might score better than 60.
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

In the days of proper cricket, Test Matches were played Thursday to Saturday and Monday to Tuesday, so the teams had Sunday off. I don't know all the courses they played but I do know that the Australians played at Ilkley some time in the fifties. There was an 'incident' of some kind, involving Keith Miller, a barmaid and a small towel. Does anyone know the true story?

I'm not sure any of their batsmen could concentrate for 9 holes. Any great courses in the area with a good 5 hole loop?
