I was planning on playing in an NCGA event at Stanford Golf Course in March, wonder if it will still be around by then.
I love golf, the fightin irish, and beautiful women depending on the season and availability.

How sad. The older I get the less I like it when they pave paradise.

All that money and no better solution.

Steve -

I wonder what it cost to construct the practice area at Stanford. It can't be more than 5 years old. Easy come, easy go!

David,

I was thinking along those same lines...must be nice to be a rich school like Stanford and have money to burn.

However, given its for a scientific cause, I'm fully in favor of this.  Without science, we would have nothing!!

Steve and Kalen -

It will be interesting to see how long it takes Stanford to build a new practice ground elsewhere on their grounds.

David,

Looks like it opened in Spring 2008 and "estimated cost" was $3.5 million.

I believe the cost was $10,000,000.00 and the money was put up by aprox 10 people. I do not know what other things that cost covered other than the actual practice facility.
