I like the lower. Fazio mucked up the upper and has had to make a number of changes. It's basically no different then Fazio's other courses in the area, Estancia, Mirabel or Greyhawk. Landscape desert architecture, acres of green grass, smooth fairways, pretty lakes and white bunkers.
Bill Coore who lives across the street thought it was the best site he had ever seen in the desert for a minimalist course. Gregg felt he owed Fazio because of another project he did. It has a world class membership, world class practice facilities and staff.
Golf Digest rates the courses 3rd and 6th best in the state and 123rd and 167th in the US.
