Darn it! I knew I should have conceded him that 2-footer on 18. The guy flat out choked on it and knocked it 3-feet by! But I mean, c'mon, it was to halve the match... what else could I have done?

I go every couple of months to Venezuela and have been consulting with Laguna Country Club (a Dick Wilson design that joe Lee built or ovversaw on site) for about two years now and I think I am also about to reach an agreement with the Country Club of Caracas (amazing club house they said was designed by the same architect as Wingfoot, nicest I have seen in Latin America). Great people in both clubs and throughout the country, I had won a redesign of greens and surroundings at Valle Arriba about a year ago and that project got put on hold because of comments like this from Mr. Chavez. Its a wonderful country with a lot of potential but this man will say anything to get the worlds media attention. Donīt look for the words to be followed by actions!

Chavez is surely a latter day James II of Scotland who declared "that futeball and golfe be utterly cryit doune and nocht usit."
Jeepers I think I have seen photos of even Castro playing golf!
