A friend sent me that article the other day, but I didn't post the link; I saw it the same day as the thread here about the boys from New Zealand playing golf every day for a year around the world.

I think I admire the young man in the Times piece more.  He wasn't media-savvy enough to promote his tour in advance or in progress and seek out free help from those of us in the golf business, which he certainly would have received; instead, he apparently made his journey on his own terms because he wanted to.

The golf business could use more people like that.

What a great story. As Tom Doak said he preferred to do it on his own terms which is pretty awesome. Nice to know that your college course is one of the best in the country-Taconic.
