(OT) WV--Jim Justice purchases Glade Springs Resort

Golfweek rates the Stonehaven course at Glade Springs at the 5th best public course in West Virginia.  Has anyone played it or the other courses there?

This seems like a great move on Mr. Justice's part.  With the big, new casino at the Greenbrier now open, it would seem that guests of both the Greenbrier and Glade Springs will be able to use it, now that they're both under the same ownership.

Cheers.

Tim,

Have not actually played Stonehaven but always liked the original Cobb Course at Glade which is a pretty solid golf course. I do know Justice is already in trouble at The Greenbrier and the acquisition of a property with a long history of problems is rather interesting. I don't see much of a tie in other than for Glade to ull from the new association.

FYI - Look for one or the other to be "branded" in the near future.

I have played the Cobb course at Glade Springs, and jumped around and played some holes on the other.  They are good, not great, in my opinion.  I do find it interesting as well, I don't know how they will turn a profit, or how owning both benefits the owner
