More progress.....
Mark, a resounding NO to Homestead and the Greenbriar...
if we included "close" we'd include National and Shinnecock, yes?

and NO to David's "Pelcian Hill" answer, unless you add/include the Top 100 PUBLIC lists  ( which we are NOT)....then it would qualify...

but YES to PGA WEST......the Dye Stadium is on all 3 magazine's, and the Nicklaus Private ( not the Public one) was on teh Golf list for one year only 1991....additional trivia re Palm Springs area is that there are 3 other courses containing the LaQuinta name whcih ahve made teh lists in varying years.....LaQuinta CC, LaQuinta Mountain course, and The Quarry @ LaQuinta ...but all are independant from each other

So, a few more to go.....3 more hints...
in one spot "mahalo" may be heard.....
think older but modern day FL, and
think of a name that may have global connotations....

I thought Golf Digest listed both the upper and lower Homestead courses at one time.

another winner....INNISBROOK.....both the Island, then later the Copperhead course were on GD..neither made eiher Golf or GOlfweek....( it msut have been the old/modern Fl hint..yes?)

The Upper @ The Homestaead has not been on any  lists.......maybe everyone is too busy concentrating on the Cascades....nah....Upper just isn't that good...

Mauna Lani gets us in the correct state...hint....think further WEST......

and the last club/complex is not exactly "joe lunchbucket", but you sure can hear some non blue blood drawls here......

As a summary only ( as I understand it), Golf Digest  was the first golfing publication to publish a list in 1966 but it was NOT Top 100 in the US, it was "America's Toughest 200 Courses" .

Scott, A Top 100 list was published in 1939. Might've been Golf Illustrated??

There is an interesting article on it on this site:
