Tom,

Thanks for the story and by no means did I mean to imply you may be 'holding out' in the literal sense.

Tom, you may, not sure, have mis-understood me...as I was ONLY referring to the remarkable similarity bewtween the Johnson dwg of CCB and this aerial.  This doesn't suggest IMO that any such conclusion could be drawn from this case and passed on to McGovern, Ross or any other associate or course that Ross designed, but I did think it was kinda neat here at CCB.

I believe Jim and I suspect others have, I know I have, thoguth that many of Ross's dwgs as drawn by Johnson certainly do appear to be moreso like as-builts.  The dwgs seem to be very meticulously prepared and in many instances very close to what was put in the ground at least when looking at old aerials such as this one from CCB.  To me, if we believe these architects were more practically and fundamentally based in their thinking, then it would seem to almost be a waste of time to draw up such elaborate plans of the whole course when what really mattered were the individual hole dwgs and green site sketches with Ross's notes.  Just an observation.

Jim, I would love to see the return of the bunkering scheme that Ross envisioned at CC of B--hopefully as your MP progresses, you and Ron will have success in educating the club to at least bring back enough of them to reinstate the old strategic character and spirit.
