Tetherow

This is a course that uses the volcanic geology of Central Oregon to create the esker and kame complexes of the heath land of Scotland such as the golfer would encounter at Gleneagles.David Kidd now lives at Tetherow and has certainly moved his home to Oregon. This is an excellent and truly original course.
My camera suffered electronic problems and preserved only a portion of my photos. As these are not in the order of my notes I can only post them without headings. They will, however, give an accurate view of the course and the geology.
David was able to meet me after the round and describe his plan for the course. He unquestionably succeeded.
An excellent book that fully describes the geology and landforms that influenced the design of Scottish courses is Scottish Golf Courses by Robert Price.Isbn 1873644124

Uh, I like just started a thread on this today...with pictures. :-\
What does it matter if the poor player can putt all the way from tee to green, provided that he has to zigzag so frequently that he takes six or seven putts to reach it?     --Alistair Mackenzie--
