My wife and I had a delightful time with you and David last night.
Thanks for driving all the way from Philly and back to join us.

It's a great restaurant.  The staff is terrific as is the chef.

And, I know a good number of the clientele, because they go there often, as do I.  We're what you call, "repeat customers"

You'll have to explain to me how, after you said that you weren't very hungry, you wolfed down, half of my wife's salmon, half of my veal milanese and half of the special dish I ordered, the chicken with raisins, pine nuts and peppers.  This was after you had a big bowl of soup.  Fortunately, you had room for desert.  For a guy who wasn't hungry you sure ate a lot.

David and I had a great time at Garden City today, we played with an old friend of mine and his guest.  The weather was great, as was the company, and .. David and I waxed our opponents pretty well.

After our round, we had a drink and David headed off to the Yankee/Boston game.

David is strong, has a good swing and a good short game.
He's definitely a great member-guest invite, especially at 14.

I'm glad you had such a nice time with us last night, you should come up to Northern New Jersey more often.  Next time, bring Wayno with you.

P.S. Did you notice during dinner how the police cars blocked off the   
        intersection, thus preventing any other customers from gaining access
        to the restaurant, so that we could dine in a quieter atmosphere ?

When I was a little kid my mother taught me the importance of the philsosophy encompassed by the saying "Waste not, Want not". Or maybe it was "Want not, Waste not"----I never was too clear about that. She used to say that over and over again at the dinner table. It may've been when I was around five and three quarters that I finally said to her: "Mom, What the F.... is that really supposed to mean?"

That's when she allowed that one should eat what is put in front of them rather than have it taken away and dumped into the garbage because there are starving people in this world who could essentially have it if one did not really want to eat it.

When it came to the other night at dinner at Lu NELLO I considered that what was put in front of me included everything on the table that you or Deb did not eat. I think you may've noticed what David Elvins did with his own food. Obviously, like me, he is aware that there are starving people in this world, just as my mother explained.

WELL, that isn't just any old chicken with raisins, pine nuts and peppers; in North Jersey that recipe is known as "CHICKEN MUCCI."

I kid you not. This man Patrick Mucci constantly down plays who he really is and his importance!

Uhh, well I'll consider it next time but I'm not sure it's necessary to bring my pissboy along to North Jersey. From what I could see the urinals up there in North Jersey were pretty adequate.

I have been trying to ignore this thread as I am a bit shy and dont like seeing my name in a thread title every time I log on but needless to say I have had an A grade experience out here with plenty of stories to go home with.  Its been great to meet so many of the GCA celebrities. 

I played out of my ass at Garden City and was slightly dissapointed to win $20.  With the guys Pat Mucci hangs out with, I thought we were playing for $20,000.

What the hell do you mean you played out of your ass? Is that considered playing good in Australia?

Over here if we play good we call it "playing out of our minds". When we play bad over here we call it "playing out of our ass."

Is this what happens when one lives on the other side of the world?
