If you follow golf instruction at all, then you know about the swing Plummer and Bennett are teaching called 'Stack and Tilt', their most prominent student being Aaron Baddeley. Andy Plummer teaches out of Aronimink and hence the Philly Inquirer's Logan has a story with both a national and local angle (I happen to think Logan is one of the very best golf writers). Here is the main story from the sports section today:

http://tinyurl.com/2gfbppWhen I saw the first article on S&T in the June issue of GD, I did not give the method much thought and dismissed it. But about 6 weeks ago I played w/ a pro up near the Poconos that I've always respected and he was almost fanatical about this swing, particularly for golfers that don't have the time or desire to hit 500 balls a day. After playing a round with him (at the very interesting Valley Country Club, an old Tillinghast course), he mentioned that my swing had certain components of S&T already so I have given this method a shot. Before I would break 80 on decent but not hard courses maybe 1 of 2 times, and with S&T I recently went 7 straight rounds below 80 (including a 79 from the white tees at Bethpage B) before crashing the other day at Blue Bell. But I'm not ready to give up yet.
