oxford miss.- ole miss v. florida

heading to oxford miss. for the ole miss-florida matchup. any courses worth checking ou around the area or should i just hang out in 'the grove' and city grocery with a lazy magnolia in hand? have businees in birmingham on monday and tuesday and can play ross bridge, shoal creek or head back to atlanta to play the atlanta athletic club.(playing peachtree on the way up.) any thoughts. thanks.

Hang out in the grove.  The game is 11:30 central so it will be an early one.  No real golf to speak of in the area.  Depending on when you get to oxford, I would go out to Taylor Grocery(catfish), have some drinks at City Grocery upstairs and then hit some bars on the square.  Save your golf for Bham and Atl.  War Rebels

The Dogwoods at Hugh White State Park is about an hour away in Grenada on Grenada Lake.

Website above has a slide show that shows off the course.

I worked on the layout and construction of this course briefly in the first stages.

Course designed by Gary Roger Baird

The Grove will be rockin more for sure

gentlemen, thanks for the suggestions. 'the grove' sounds like the winner. talent always takes precedence.
