Hudson Hills (Mungeam) ossining, ny

This course is routed through   some wetlands on a hilly sight, I belive its operated by Westchester County. has anyone played it. If so is there  a nice variety of holes?  Mungeams Oxford, Ct. layout  has very nice green complexes  . Does the same hold true at Hudson hills.

Its a mungeam redesign...not an original.  There are some good holes, but its got too much of a back and forth feel a la firestone.  ok, but not wortth a special trip. If your in the area, its fine to visit once.

Terrible course. A zero by my personal Doak Scale. I don't think it's Mungeam's fault either, this is just a bad piece of land for golf. Insipid par threes and some of the worst par fives you'll see anywhere. Tons of environmental areas. Parallel holes with blind launch-pad tees; there are some areas where you definitely want a helmet. It's worth seeing if you ever want a prime example of a course that is totally out of control. But given that it was Westchester County's hamfisted attempt to cash in on the CCFAD craze going on further north of the city, the place takes itself fairly seriously, which makes it such a drag because the unintentional comedy factor there is tremendous.

Play Mohansic less than 10 minutes up the Taconic instead. At least it's honest.

I have never played the course, but I asked a GCA lurker about it and received much the same answer as Tom Dunne gave with an added bonus of 5.5 hour round.

Have any of the local raters seen it that can offer their views?
