...

It's the only place in the world with this kind of action, debate, minutiae, verbosity, brilliance, assininity, eloquence, civility, acrimony and intrigue dedicated to something we are all addicted to in one form or another and it's ongoing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

It's instantaneous, yet it's retrospective.   It's thoughtful and reactionary.  It's current and historical.  It's relevant, irrelevant, reverent, and blasphemous.

...

Heh.  As I read this, I hear it in the voice of Karl Childers.

TomD:

Just so I don't start a pernicious rumor, Tom Fazio never said what I quoted there. I just made it up. But it is true that maybe five years ago one of his good friends around here did say he did look at GOLFCLUBATLAS.com. I think the guy told me that Ran Morrissett, Geoff Shackelford and Tommy Nacarrato are some of TomF's favorite people but I don't believe I could swear to that either.

I am not sure  Fazio would greatly benefit from reading this site. According to "raters" he is a superstar. It is the guys the are doing the newer on the edge stuff that need help.

For instance, Kelly Blake Moran, who frequents this site will now be able to build better greens based on the Luarel Links thread and the comments of the MGA head professionals.  He now knows to have more pinnable areas on the greens. I am sure the raters for the magazines will love LL with more flatter more "fair" greens

Fazio has been doing this for ages and I am sure his greens at Hudson National rolling at 14 with little contour make the MGA pro's just giddy.

Fazio has the money of a Hearst, why would he care?

Just need some mustard biscuits.....

and maybe some of that potted meat.  With french fried potaters.

While you're at it, better send an ambulance...or a Hearst.

I am not sure a Hearst could handle that situation......
