There's Something about Mary

Okay, first uncovering the St. Andrews Beach video, now snapping these in a public "nonpublic" place, ahem.  It's not stalking, it's research!

Any other photos by this photographer out there? Sorry for the quality -- kudos to anyone who can guess the hole. Another pic of the same hole appears in TCG, but this pic is different, at least from my edition.

Correct, Mr Five Ports. It's quite a dramatic photo, with the ground movement, deep shadows and Channel.

Seen any other signed Doak photos hanging on walls, not necessarily in a WC?

When I worked for the Dyes, they asked me to get a bunch of prints made of different holes I'd photographed overseas.  There were quite a few hanging in the offices at Oak Tree and PGA West back in the day, but I don't know that many have survived.

That was a nice gesture on their part. The reviews in TCG are great, but some of those pics might actually have supplied the tipping point in getting me on a plane.  I wonder if that's true of anyone else, or did they buy it just for the articles?

Funny given the status of TCG those pics never show up on Ebay...or do they?

Mark, I know you are just jokin' on Playboy, but I can honestly say I did get it just for the articles--my version has no pics.  I think TomD sent me some rejected copy or something  ;D
