Probably a million posts on this but I'm lazy.  I'm off to Bermuda for my first time in Feb.  Anything else to see besides Mid Ocean, Port Royal or Castle Harbour?

Thanks

nope.  better to keep playing those than try the others.

for that matter, play mid-ocean as much as you can.  another round on mid-ocean is better than a first round on castle harbour or port royal.

I've heard that Tucker's point is nice, too.  But apparently it's a bit on the narrow side.

Castle Harbour no longer exists by that name... it is Tucker's Point Club. Not certain but likely same guest policy as Mid Ocean which is rather liberal... letter of introduction for play on Monday and Wednesday unless they have changed of late.

The other courses are

Riddell's Bay - 6200 yarder

Ocean View - 9 holer with some tough, if not good golf holes

St George's - Par 62 with some pretty good holes mixed in with some clunkers - 13th will remind you a LITTLE of Pebble #7 if you really want it to.

Southhapmton Princess has an executive/par 3 course usually well kept not great quality of holes

Blemont is another 6000 yard type course that you'd only play if you were hell bent on experiencing everything the island had to offer.

Mid Ocean & Port Royal  the Tucker's & then St George's by my estimation. Riddell's Bay would be next.

give St George's time... first few holes are not the best. Take an open mind and enjoy the surroundings. 4 or 5 good fun holes... scenery is spectacular... Have a drink at Blackbeard's (next to 14th tee) while you are there.

I do not agree that you should play Mid Ocean to the exclusion of all others... Port Royal is quite a fun track... a couple of clunker holes as well but some good stuff there.

Mid-Ocean certainly the class of the island but you will be doing yourself a disservice if you skip Port Royal.  I'd put Riddells Bay third as it's a great member's club and you will get treated to some good camaraderie if you can play on a weekend.  (My time spent there predated Tuckers, but when it was Castle Harbour was not worth playing).

Better bring your thermals if going in February!  50 degrees in the rain on a moped is not much fun, I can promise you that.

"call ahead" in February. Can be cool and wet but Mid Ocean is worth playing as is Port Royal.

Riddell's is fun if short at about 5800 yds.  There are a couple holes along the bay that are nice.

Belmont has been recently redone totally (when I was there in 2003, the course was entirely dirt).  The website makes it look much more interesting than it was, beautiful and very "Bermudan" if nothing else....

I've played Tucker's Point as well, and I think Port Royal is better.  TP is pretty expensive and tougher to get on, and has a few holes that will leave you scratching your head.
So I jump ship in Hong Kong....

St George's is good for a few holes at dusk with a six pack and a six iron.  We stayed in a cottage on one of the fairways.  Mid Ocean is a serious test of golfing skills, really the only one on the island.  I'd play it every chance I had.

Make sure you visit the Swizzle Inn, it is pretty close to Mid Ocean.  The Swizzle Inn is a legendary spot on the Island.
