Big Spring was redone by Rees Jones not Fazio from what I have been told. I think he ruined 3 good holes but made 3 mediocre holes better, so a toss up there. Condition wise, when I played it just after the redo, it was in great condition. Hurstbourne would be a good choice, have not played there since the renovation, even though I was a Junior Club champion there in the early 70's. Persimmon Ridge would be the best choice, way out east almost to the county line out Shelbyville Rd or US 60.Caesar's course is by Bill Bergin and is ok, the front side is much more interesting than the backside. Old English would be close by, Hurdzan routed the course but I don't think he did anything else, it has some holes that play thru the old town itself before it was relocated due to extensive frequent flooding, yes, they moved the whole town and left the old buildings standing. Your actually not real far from the Hills course at French Lick also. Hunting Creek CC is a 60's course out NE of the city down US 42, it use to host the LPGA event back in the day and is pretty good also. I would go Persimmon, then Hurstbourne, and group the rest as a toss up.
