Our head pro is leaving to become the head pro there on the Big Island.  Haven't heard much about it, and was wondering if many here had played it and what they thought.

Had the chance to play there last summer. Was the only golfer that day. Day before there were three golfers (Michael Dell and guest, and Terry Bradshaw).  Setting and amenities are over the top.
Golf course is visually stunning.  You climb up into the hills to find the driving range/first tee (interestingly a good 10-15 minute drive from the clubhouse?), then play downhill for a couple of holes, then back up, etc.  Typical Fazio design with some strong holes on the back nine. 17 is afun downhill par three, and the right sided fairway bunkers are shaped like the Hawaiian Islands.  Grass is that new paspulum strain.  From the driving range you can see up to Charles Schwab's course (Nanea).
Overall, probably in the top 3 of the Big Island courses.
