I've played in a couple of events at Shorehaven and I have to say that I do not see any W. Park, Jr. there at all. I am not familiar with White other than this effort but the course is reasonably good. There are some bad angles, but most of that is due to the tree lines that have grown in the past 80 years. The three pars are the grit of the course playing at 230, 225 and 210 or so. There are a few dead ends but that is due to a very small plot.
This course is not in the same breath as the CC of Fairfield, which has simply the best site in the State as well as a very good Raynor course. New Haven Country Club is a noble little Willie Park, Jr. with a wonderful set of greens. The course is short but does not put a premium on power.
Shorehaven would fall a tier lower than these two.
