It's been so long, I don't remember how much or little they showed of CPC on TV either.  But hell, watch this weekend and you'll see it.. they do a flyover of 15-16-17 every year.

Would it lose luster being shown on TV?  No way.  If anything it gains.  I have yet to hear of one person who sees it in person and comes away disappointed... if anything it's one of those rare places that exceeds incredibly high expectations.  Yes, I guess some "mystique" would be gone, because you'd see more of it, but it's not like there are many secrets about the course as it is - SO many books, SO visible from 17 Mile Drive, etc.

Shivosity:

What about Pebble, Spyglass, Riviera (think only of its reputation for purposes of this exercise), Westchester, Kapalua, Harbour Town, East Lake?

Or does Tiger know that CPC does not have minority member?  Maybe Tiger would like to be that member...

The big four memberships include

Augusta... Jack and Arnold
Pine Valley... Arnold, Gary, Nick (class of 04)
Seminole... Raymond
CPC... ?

Every club should have a PGA professional  ;)

Shivas,
I had to respond to let you know that this is the funniest post I've seen on GCA.com.

Thanks.

nano-Throw in Spanish Bay and you've got the Del Monte Forest Caddie Cup.  Anyone who can survive a year, and then qualifies for the cup, experiences what has to be the greatest rotationin golf, west of what? madison ave.

Not sure anyone saw tha latest GolfWorld magazine but the powers to be deny any truth that Cypress Point will be included in any future AT&T tournaments.

I believe this rumor was started by a local newspaper columnist for the SF Chronicle named Brian Murphy who has mislead many people in the Bay Area about a lot of golf topics.
