Shanqin Bay

Any update on Shanqin Bay?  Last I heard, the Chinese government planted a forest on the 17th hole since it was not part of the club's property. 


Did they reroute course?  Only play 17 holes now?

This is a snippet of a review of Shanqin Bay posted by Fergal O'Leary where he discusses the changes to the 17th hole.  Sorry for uploading it as an image.  The top100courses website does not allow me to highlight text from reviews.  Interesting that the club keeps the original 17th hole on the scorecard as an act of defiance.

Thanks for posting that up.  Its been a couple of years since that post and it looks like they are building a new short par 4 17th hole to the west of the original. (link to Google maps below.)

I'm curious how they were allowed to keep 8 green and 9 tee if they are OOB as well.
